Dr Victoria Dunne is a PCUK Postdoctoral Research Associate based at Queen’s University Belfast. Victoria obtained her PhD from Queen’s University (2014-2017) which focussed on understanding the mechanistic basis for optimal radiotherapy combination treatments both for tumour response and minimizing normal tissue toxicity. Since her PhD, Victoria has been developing novel precision radiotherapy approaches for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer with an emphasis on exploiting vulnerabilities in the DNA damage response. In 2022, Victoria was awarded a Career Acceleration Fellowship from Prostate Cancer UK which will enable her to continue her research in collaboration with Oslo University Hospital, who are leading the development of next generation treatments for men with prostate cancer.
